Collection Intern

This job is provided by apna.co Role & responsibilitiesJob Overview We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Collection Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in the collections process, working alongside experienced professionals to manage and resolve overdue accounts. The position offers great learning opportunities with minimal fieldwork involvement. After 6 months, your role will transition to a higher responsibility with an increase in compensation. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in managing overdue accounts and customer collectionsCommunicate with customers via phone, email, or other channels to remind them of outstanding paymentsSupport the collections team in maintaining accurate records of all customer interactionsCollaborate with internal teams to resolve customer disputes and payment issuesPrepare and send customer account statements and remindersAssist in negotiating repayment terms with customersAssist in reporting and tracking overdue accounts and collection effortsEnsure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines related to collectionsProvide regular updates and feedback to the supervisor

Requirements

Bachelors degree in any stream (preferably Commerce/Business/Finance-related)Strong communication skills (written and verbal)Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasksA proactive and team-oriented approach to workAbility to handle sensitive customer interactions professionallyFreshers are welcome, prior experience in collections or finance is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

First 6 months: ₹12,500 per monthPost 6 months: ₹18,000 per monthAfter 1 year: On-role employment with an annual package of ₹3,00,000 (₹3 LPA)Learning and development opportunitiesMinimal fieldwork involved
