This role demands precision, regulatory knowledge, and strong analytical skills. Key ResponsibilitiesReview inpatient charts and discharge summaries to assign diagnosis and procedure codesApply ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes in compliance with IPDRG guidelinesEnsure accurate DRG assignment using MS-DRG, APR-DRG, and AP-DRG methodologiesQuery physicians for documentation clarification when neededMaintain compliance with UHDDS, AHA Coding Clinic updates, and OIG regulationsCollaborate with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) teams to enhance coding accuracyUse encoder tools like 3M or TruCode for efficient coding workflowsMonitor coding productivity and accuracy metrics, aiming for 95% internal accuracyParticipate in audits and implement feedback for continuous improvementNote : Please mention (HR Name) at the top of the resume while stepping in for interview !
