Job Description

Purpose/Objective


    Lead - Security O&M is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and completion of all security-related infrastructure and technology projects within the organization. This role focuses on the development, upgrading, and integration of physical and digital security systems, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and regulatory standards. The Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams and external vendors to implement state-of-the-art security solutions while managing risks and maintaining compliance, playing a critical role in strengthening the overall security framework of the organization.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Security O&M Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, development, and execution of all security-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational security strategy and objectives. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource requirements for new security infrastructure and upgrades. Ensure that all security project activities meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality expectations. Infrastructure Development and Upgrades: Oversee the design and implementation of security infrastructure, including surveillance systems, access control, perimeter protection, and alarm systems. Coordinate with internal teams (IT, Engineering, etc.) and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of security technologies with existing systems. Manage the installation and testing of physical security systems to ensure full operational readiness before project sign-off. Vendor and Contractor Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors, contractors, and consultants for the successful execution of security projects. Negotiate contracts and ensure that vendors meet quality, budget, and timeline standards. Conduct performance reviews of vendors and address any deviations from project specifications or performance issues. Project Budget and Cost Management: Analyse the budget provided by Projects Team and ensure adherence to approved financial plans. Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize the allocation of resources for all security project activities. Provide regular reports on project financials, risks, and performance to senior management. Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all security projects comply with local regulations, safety standards, and internal audit requirements. Maintain accurate documentation and records for each security project, including project proposals, contracts, and regulatory approvals. Ensure compliance with internal security policies and protocols during project implementation. Risk Management and Contingency Planning: Conduct risk assessments related to security infrastructure projects and develop mitigation strategies. Implement contingency plans to address potential project disruptions, including delays, equipment failure, or regulatory challenges. Ensure the proactive identification and resolution of potential security gaps during the project life cycle. Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate closely with internal teams, including the Security Operations and Security Automation leads, to ensure seamless integration of new security infrastructure with existing systems and protocols. Provide regular updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders on project progress, risks, and deliverables. Support cross-functional collaboration to align security projects with broader business goals and operational needs. Post-Implementation Support: Oversee the post-project evaluation and handover process, ensuring that all systems are fully operational and meet specified performance standards. Conduct training sessions for security personnel and site teams on the newly implemented security technologies and protocols. Manage project documentation, including lessons learned, to continuously improve security project processes

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Security Management, Project Management, or a related field. Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Security Systems (CPP, PSP) are preferred. Knowledge of advanced security technologies, automation systems, and infrastructure development. Work Experience: 12+ years of experience in managing large-scale security infrastructure or security projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience in planning, executing, and delivering security automation or technology-driven projects. Strong background in vendor management, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and cost control.
