Cluster Head - Farm Operations

As a Cluster Head at the bio-farming focused social enterprise, your role will involve leading production & back-end operations at the cluster and partner farmer operations. You will be responsible for managing a team of 10-12 members, including 2-3 direct reports. The locations you will be operating in are Palla and Anupshahr (Delhi) and Narayangoan (Pune). Key Responsibilities: - Head production & operations for the cluster. - Plan production, logistics, and customer delivery metrics in the cluster. - Collaborate closely with the sales team to forecast market demand and plan production accordingly. - Establish and manage contracting farming activities with network farmers, ensuring compliance with company practices. - Identify, motivate, train, and guide suitable farmers for regenerative organic production. - Monitor farming activities to ensure adherence to practices and eliminate chemical usage. - Oversee collection center activities, including receiving vegetables, sorting, grading, and storage. - Maintain produce quality and coordinate with operations teams for supply to the Collection Center / Distribution Center. - Plan input production at the RAC level according to vegetable production plans. - Collaborate with technical teams to implement regenerative agriculture practices and provide field feedback to the technical Center of Excellence. - Develop and optimize budgets for all activities. - Explore opportunities for expansion across multiple locations in the same region. Qualification / Skills Required: - Post-graduation or graduation in Agriculture with 8-10 years of experience in working with farmers at the ground level. - Alternatively, a graduate / post-graduate in any other discipline with over 10 years of relevant experience in managing regional level Agri / Fruits and Vegetables / contract farming operations. - Preference for prior experience in organic / natural farming. - Proficiency in English, Hindi & local language communication. - Strong people management skills with experience as a team leader. - Proficiency in computer skills (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) and working knowledge of ERP systems.
