JOB Description
Job Summary: LUX PT Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the fitness department across LUX gyms spectrum. This includes developing and implementing fitness programs, hiring and grooming trainers/head trainers, managing fitness staff strength and upskilling, coordinating monthly expectation setting and performance, coordinating with partners and key stakeholders to set up targets and scale PT performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Hiring: Collaborate effectively with TA Team and partner sources to recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of fitness trainers and GX instructors (if applicable). Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback with the help of respective PT leads/AFM, right from pre sale period, to establish a high performance group.
Staff Management: Training and Development: Oversee planning and implementation of staff schedules/rosters to ensure adequate coverage, by fitness team leads in all centres of interest. Help facilitate ongoing training and development opportunities for fitness staff to enhance their skills and certifications. Help foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the fitness department, across LUX gyms.
Member Engagement: Interact with LUX partners and key stakeholders to understand target audience and their fitness goals and help develop member engagement options/classes/activities. Organize and promote fitness challenges, workshops and events to enhance member engagement and retention.
Competition and Trend Analysis: Study TG, Competition Gyms and Trends to best strategise team dynamics and centre services from the beginning itself and leverage from pre-sale period. Recommend best practices and playbooks to partners to ensure uniformity in service delivery. Monitor and analyze financial performance vs spends, making recommendations for cost-effective improvements in Fitness offerings.
Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing and central team to promote fitness programs and events. Implement strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones through fitness-related offerings for better PT penetration.
Performance Management: Nurture high performance groups across centres, through clear monthly expectation setting. Set clear monthly sale targets for each team and ensure delivery against OKRs by fitness leads.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all fitness activities and programs comply with relevant health and safety regulations. Implement and enforce club policies related to fitness area usage.
Preferable Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field (preferred). Certification in Personal Training or Group Fitness Instruction (e.g., ACSM, NASM, ACE). Proven experience in fitness management or a similar role within the health and wellness industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of current fitness trends and industry best practices. 4-5 Years Experience in Fitness Team management with a proven track record.
