We have an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Engineering IT Manager to join our growing team to lead our Cloud Engineering team. We re looking for a forward-thinking and dynamic Cloud Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, delivery, and ongoing optimization of our Cloud Infrastructure, Corporate IT systems, and Atlassian ecosystem. This role requires a strategic leader who is hands-on, collaborative, and passionate about leveraging technology to drive business outcomes and operational efficiency that will both shape and support the growth of Tryzens. C ore responsibilities are: Team Leadership & Development: o Manage, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary IT team to consistently deliver value added IT and Cloud services to our growing business. o Demonstrate forward thinking around where the organization is going and how technology can support these efforts. o Advocate and help define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems. o Act as the coach and mentor to team members and technical staff on their assigned project tasks o Conduct product work reviews with team members and help with hiring the best talent. o Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. o Develop and execute training plans to elevate team skills o Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all Cloud Engineering activities and collaborate with fellow Tryzenauts to understand new requirements while ensuring high levels of delivery within the team. o Manage and evolve ways of working/processes of the Cloud Engineering team to ensure all team deliverables are consistently met. Cloud Infrastructure Management: o Oversee the secure and efficient operation of cloud environments (predominantly AWS and Azure), ensuring they meet availability, performance, and compliance goals.Drive operational efficiencies and cost optimisation activities in the team while ensuring all services adhere to our security and regulatory responsibilities. o Track and continually optimise Tryzens spend on our Cloud estate Corporate IT: o Accountable for the provision of devices, their adherence to Tryzens security policies and ongoing estate management to our global user base o Accountable for Vendor management of Suppliers to ensure a consistent, high quality and secure delivery o Collaborate with Tryzenauts and manage suppliers to ensure seamless IT support, including (but not limited to): Leavers/joiners process, device provisioning, security best practices, connectivity o Drive adoption of modern workplace tools and practices (e.g., Co-Pilot ) o Set in place and execute best practice processes for Access Management across Tryzens estate o Ensure all IT delivery, setup and processes are executed inline with best practice security frameworks such as ISO 27001/9001. Atlassian Ownership: o Work with our Ops team to manage the continuous optimisations and updates to our Atlassian Suite o Accountable for the implementation and communication of all security patches/updates to Atlassian. o Lead platform scalability and migration efforts as needed. Essential experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in IT roles, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity. Proven experience managing enterprise infrastructure delivery in cloud platforms using modern techniques (e.g. containerisation, auto scalability, security policies, compute/storage etc, CI/CD) Proven budget management experience of ITspend and ongoing optimisation Line Management and development of a multi-disciplinary IT team Strong understanding of enterprise, corporate IT environments and service delivery. Understanding and operational experience of networking, administration, security, and compliance best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred experience: Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools administration and optimization. Experience providing Cloud and It services within a digital organisation. Knowledge of one of more of the following monitoring/observability tools and processes inclusive ELK stack, CloudTrail, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus. Infrastructure monitoring using Nagios, Zabbix, New Relic.
