Job Description

Core Stack/Keywords

  • GitHub

    – Source control, GitHub Actions (CI/CD)

  • GKE

    (Google Kubernetes Engine) – Kubernetes cluster management

  • Terraform

    – Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • GCP

    – Cloud platform for compute, networking, IAM, etc.

  • Networking

    – VPC, load balancers, firewall rules, peering

  • Security

    – IAM, secrets management, workload identity, policies

  • Argo CD

    – GitOps-based deployment to Kubernetes

📌 Typical Responsibilities

  1. CI/CD Pipelines

  • Create and maintain GitHub Actions workflows
  • Integrate Argo CD for GitOps-style continuous delivery

  1. Infrastructure Automation

  • Write and maintain Terraform code for GCP infrastructure
  • Modularize Terraform for reusable networking, compute, and GKE clusters

  1. Kubernetes Operations (GKE)

  • Deploy and manage workloads
  • Helm or Kustomize usage
  • Auto-scaling, pod disruption budgets, affinity rules

  1. Cloud Networking

  • Configure VPCs, subnets, Cloud NAT, private Google access
  • Manage internal/external load balancers
  • Hybrid connectivity (if needed): VPN, Interconnect

  1. Cloud Security

  • Enforce least privilege using IAM
  • Manage secrets with Secret Manager or Vault
  • Use workload identity federation for Kubernetes-to-GCP auth
  • Policy-as-code with OPA or GCP Org Policies

  1. Monitoring & Logging

  • Set up observability stack (Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus/Grafana)
  • Logging with Cloud Logging or Loki
  • Alerting and SLOs
