We are seeking a skilled Cloud DBA to join our dynamic team, specializing in Oracle to PostgreSQL migrations. This role is pivotal for organizations looking to modernize their database environments and leverage the advantages of cloud technologies. As a Cloud DBA, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the migration process, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity throughout the transition. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for optimal performance tuning and database management in the cloud. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, with experience in cloud infrastructure tools and deployment methods. In addition, you will be tasked with documenting processes, providing training for team members, and implementing best practices for database operations in a cloud environment. Your expertise will ensure that we maximize the capabilities of our new PostgreSQL databases, while maintaining a secure, efficient, and scalable architecture. Responsibilities

• Design and implement migration strategies for transitioning from Oracle to PostgreSQL databases.
• Ensure the integrity, security, and performance of databases during the migration process.
• Regularly monitor database performance and make recommendations for optimization.
• Work with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform to deploy database solutions.
• Document all migration procedures and create training materials for staff.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish best practices.
• Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for database-related issues post-migration.

Requirements

• Proven 10+ years of experience working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of cloud database technologies and architectures.
• Familiarity with database migration tools and processes.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of databases.
• Knowledge of SQL and database query languages for both Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
