Climate Tech Industry Internship in Chennai

We are seeking experienced professionals from other industries seeking an entry into climate tech to join our team as Climate Tech Strategy Interns. This is a unique internship opportunity designed for mid-career individuals interested in transitioning into the fast-growing climate-tech and sustainability sector.You will work with prominent clients on staregic climate tech and clean energy assignments. As part of the core consulting team, you will help evaluate opportunities across domains such as renewable energy, circularity, sustainable materials, decarbonisation tools, clean manufacturing, digital sustainability, and waste-to-value solutions.This internship is ideal for professionals looking to transition to the climate tech domain and apply their consulting and analytical skills to real-world sustainability challenges, while learning how SMEs can pivot into high-growth green markets.

Selected Intern's Day-to-day Responsibilities Include

• Work closely with senior consultants to identify, assess, and shortlist high-potential climate-tech opportunities aligned with client capabilities and long-term strategic goals.
• Conduct innovation analysis across categories such as - Circular economy & recycling technologies, Sustainable materials & energy-efficient hardware, E-waste management & low-carbon manufacturing, Digital sustainability and decarbonisation tools
• Conduct competitor benchmarking, market needs assessments, and opportunity prioritisation.
• Interact with senior leadership from Indian and global SMEs, technology providers, and climate-tech innovators.
• Gather insights on market feasibility, technology readiness, adoption barriers, and emerging industry trends.
• Support the team in evaluating business models, value-chain economics, and commercial viability of climate-tech solutions.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to explore how client assets—technology, distribution networks, and capabilities—can be repurposed toward climate-tech markets.
• Prepare client-ready reports, frameworks, presentations, and deep-dive analyses.
• Present structured recommendations backed by data, research insights, and strategic rationale.
