Job Responsibilities
- Key responsibilities are providing support across the Collins Client Virtualization environments.
- Supporting the Collins Citrix environments which include - Citrix Virtual apps and Desktops, XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, StoreFront, Provisioning Services (PVS) and AppSense.
- Support of the Collins VMware Horizon environment including virtual apps and desktops.
- Support for break fix issues related to the Collins Client Virtualization environment.
- Supports diagnosis and root cause analysis of break - fix incidents related to Client virtualization.
- Generate and or documentation as needed to support the Collins Client virtualization environment.
- Works with a team of 3-4 systems & application delivery engineers in daily support of current environment with a goal of continually improving the end- user experience.
- Development of applications and desktops for Collins Client Virtualization environment (Citrix).
- Works with Collins Infrastructure teams, application teams, RTX teams and end-users to ensure solid solutions to maintain secure, and highly available systems.
- Communicate technology design and any related issues to technical and non-technical audiences including customers and technical partners.
- Assist team with support of enterprise applications and software in the various end-user environments (i.e. local operating system and VDI).
- Assist with resolution of escalated incidents and participate in issue resolution / mitigation activities.
- Work in concert with other members of the Collins DT team to solve more complex user technical problems related to virtual desktop computing and applications.
- Participate in cross-functional team projects to implement new or updated technology.
- Must have experience in large-scale Citrix environments (preferably VDI) where reliability and performance are paramount.
Technical Skills
Citrix Virtual appps and Desktops, XenDesktop 7.x, XenApp 7.x, Provisioning Services (PVS), NetScaler, Storefront, AppSense, VMware Horizon, Azure, AWS, Nvidia, Windows Server, Windows 7/10, PowerShell, Active Directory, GPOs.
Requirements
- AS degree or BS degree in IT or computer science or similar field or equivalent work experience
- Proven ability to provide Customer Service at a high level
- Hands on experience with Citrix VDI, creating new VDI images, updating and administrating Citrix in Citrix Cloud
- Experience of planning, designing, implementing, and managing Virtual solutions for services and/or applications
- Experience in system administration with Active Directory
- Experience with WSUS, SCCM, Intune, MDM
- Knowledge of VMware Horizon administration and configuration
- Knowledge of Citrix administration and configuration
- Knowledge of Windows 2008/2012/2016/Windows 7/10
- Knowledge of network and firewall technologies
- Knowledge of Azure / AWS services
- Knowledge of Active Directory, including policies, LDAP, SAML, federated Services
- Knowledge of Citrix VDI running in Windows/Azure
- Knowledge of Office 365
- Knowledge of storage technologies
- Candidate must be detail-oriented, task-driven, and able to work well within a team environment
