Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled CI/CD Engineer with hands-on experience managing build

pipelines, performing code reviews, validating pull requests, and ensuring development teams follow

CI/CD best practices. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers to maintain high-quality

code, ensure smooth deployment workflows, and uphold engineering standards across all

repositories.

This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, technically strong, and passionate

about automation, code quality, and DevOps efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. CI/CD Pipeline Management

 Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI,

Jenkins, or equivalent.

 Ensure automated build, test, and deployment pipelines run smoothly across environments

(Dev, QA, Prod).

 Troubleshoot CI/CD failures and work with developers to resolve issues promptly.

 Ensure deployments follow rollback, versioning, and environment segregation best practices.

2. Pull Request (PR) Review & Code Quality Enforcement

 Perform code reviews for incoming pull requests to ensure code quality, standards

compliance, and best practices.

 Validate PRs using a predefined PR Checklist (naming conventions, test coverage,

documentation, linting, security checks, etc.).

 Ensure merge conflicts are resolved and PRs are merged only after all review conditions are

met.

 Guide developers with constructive feedback to improve code clarity, maintainability, and

performance.

 Verify that commits follow version control best practices and branching strategies (Gitflow,

trunk-based, etc.).

3. Automation & Quality Controls

 Implement automated tests, linting tools, and static code analysis to enforce quality.

 Maintain automated build validations before PR merges.

 Monitor and enhance infrastructure scripts (Docker, etc.) where required.

4. Collaboration & Workflow Governance

 Work collaboratively with development, QA, and product teams to ensure CI/CD and code

review processes are adhered to.

 Enforce coding standards, PR workflows, and branch protection rules.

 Create and maintain documentation for CI/CD workflows, PR processes, and internal

engineering standards.

 Participate in engineering discussions to recommend improvements for developer

productivity and deployment stability.

5. Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

 Monitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize build times.

 Ensure CI/CD pipelines align with 2025 industry standards and evolving best practices.

 Track deployment metrics, pipeline success rates, and error rates.

 Recommend improvements in automation, testing strategies, or tooling to enhance reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 1.5–2 years’ experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or software engineering with CI/CD responsibilities.

 Strong knowledge of Git, version control workflows, PR review processes, and branching

strategies.

 Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).

 Good understanding of containerization (Docker).

 Ability to identify code quality issues, security vulnerabilities, and best practice violations

during PR review.

 Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

 Understanding of DevOps practices.

 Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
