Job Description

Responsible for Network infrastructure, Service delivery, and Technological initiatives.
Core Responsibilities
Technology Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology vision and roadmap aligned with the company’s growth and operational objectives in broadband.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement new telecommunications and broadband technologies ( fiber, wireless, cloud-based solutions) that improve network capacity, quality, and reliability.
  • Lead research and development (R&D) for scaling broadband networks and introducing innovative value-added services for subscribers.
Network & Infrastructure Oversight
  • Oversee the planning, deployment, and maintenance of broadband network infrastructure, ensuring high service availability, minimal latency, and maximum uptime.
  • Ensure robust disaster recovery, business continuity, and redundancy systems are in place for critical broadband infrastructure.
  • Manage network security, protect subscriber data, and enforce compliance with telecommunications and data privacy regulations.
Operations Management
  • Direct network operations centers (NOCs), ensuring proactive monitoring, rapid response to outages, and optimal network performance.
  • Oversee technical support, troubleshooting escalations, and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Ensure strong service level agreement (SLA) performance and customer satisfaction.
Regulatory & Vendor Management
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes impacting broadband deployment and telecommunications operations.
  • Manage relationships with hardware/software vendors, telecom partners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Lead procurement and vendor negotiations, ensuring compatibility, scalability, and favorable terms for network expansion.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing technology and engineering teams (network engineers, IT, field technicians).
  • Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement across all technical groups.
  • Define individual and team goals, development paths, and succession planning.
Budgeting & Resource Management
  • Oversee technology and infrastructure budgets, including capital expenditures (CAPEX) and operating expenditures (OPEX).
  • Align technology spending with strategic priorities to maximize ROI and control costs.
Stakeholder & Executive Collaboration
  • Communicate technical strategy and network investments to board members, executive leadership, shareholders, and non-technical teams.
  • Work closely with commercial, operations, marketing, and customer service departments to integrate technology with business strategy.

Job Requirement

Experience: 10+ years in telecommunications or broadband, with at least 5 years in management. Experience of end to end launch and management of broadband business.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of broadband technologies (fiber optic, wireless, routing/switching), network engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud services.
Leadership & Communication: Proven team leadership, cross-departmental collaboration, and ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical audiences.
Strategic Vision: Ability to envision future technology trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics.
Project Management: Leading large-scale infrastructure rollouts and upgrades, vendor management, budgeting, and compliance.
Education: Bachelor’s or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.

Broadband Industry-Specific Focus
  • Drive expansion and upgrade projects to deliver high-speed broadband in urban and rural areas.
  • Lead spectrum management, IP address strategy, and quality-of-service (QoS) policies for congestion management.
  • Oversee the deployment of customer premises equipment (CPE), integration with ISPs, and the adoption of emerging standards (such as DOCSIS, GPON, or 5G FWA).
  • Monitor competitive landscape and technology trends to ensure the company remains at the forefront of broadband innovation.
