Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the operational strategy and execution for our logistics and express delivery business. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in service delivery excellence, efficient route management, network optimization (scheduled and unscheduled), and vendor management. This role demands a strong leader with a proven track record of scaling operations, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring high customer satisfaction in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Execution

• Define and implement operations strategy aligned with overall business goals.
• Lead a nationwide logistics and express delivery network, ensuring alignment with customer and market expectations.
• Drive initiatives to scale up operations efficiently and profitably.

2. Service Delivery Excellence

• Ensure high standards of service delivery across all channels.
• Establish KPIs and SLAs to monitor turnaround times, first-time delivery success, and exception handling.
• Design and implement systems for continuous service quality improvement.

3. Route & Network Management

• Optimize routing algorithms and fleet deployment for both scheduled and unscheduled Routes & deliveries.
• Monitor and refine last-mile delivery strategies for urban and rural geographies.
• Implement intelligent network design to reduce transit times and logistics costs.

4. Vendor Management

• Develop strong relationships with transporters, warehousing partners, and delivery agents.
• Negotiate vendor contracts, SLAs, and cost structures ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Regularly audit and evaluate vendor performance and compliance.

5. Operational Efficiency & Cost Control

• Lead initiatives to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Implement technologies and automation to streamline sorting, routing, and tracking.
• Leverage data analytics for continuous improvement in operational decision-making.

6. Compliance, Risk & Safety

• Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements related to logistics and transport operations.
• Drive safety, risk management, and loss prevention programs across the network.

7. Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing operations team.
• Drive a culture of accountability, agility, and excellence across all levels of the operations function.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in logistics/express operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven experience in service delivery excellence, route optimization, vendor development, and network operations.
• Strong understanding of Indian logistics ecosystem, particularly express delivery in metro and tier-2/3 cities.
• Experience with logistics tech platforms, TMS, WMS, and data analytics tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
