Role Description

The chief operating officer (COO) is a senior executive tasked withoverseeing the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the Projects Division. The COO is responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning of the division and achieves its goals.

Key Responsibilities

The COO's responsibilities include:

1.Strategic Implementation:

Developing and implementing operational strategies and plans for the Projects team

Setting comprehensive goals for performance and growth.

Ensuring alignment of goals of the division with overall company strategy

2.Operational Management:

Overseeing business operations and processes.

Providing expertise at Project Progress and Review meetings

Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement.

Managing resources, including human capital and technology.

Improving operational efficiency and productivity.

3.Team Leadership & Development:

Leading and developing a high-performance team.

Providing leadership and guidance in monitoring of existing projects

Motivating and inspiring employees to achieve maximum performance.

Managing relationships with support divisions, clients and other stakeholders

4.Financial Management:

Overseeing financial performance and ensuring cost-effective operations.

Managing budgets and resource allocation.

5.Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Identifying and mitigating operational risks.

6.Continuous Improvement:

Identifying areas for improvement

Driving process improvements and efficiencies to increase productivity and profitability.

Analyzing data and metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.

Qualification & Experience

Civil Engineer from a leading institute. An MBA degree is a plus, but not mandatory

15+ years of experience in the Construction Industry, with medium to large companies. Experience has to be in managing and executing at least 15 large Commercial Projects with a 200Cr Project Size

Demonstrated Track record in meeting Timelines and Project Costs consistently
