Role Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be a strategic business partner to the leadership team, driving VISL’s financial excellence, governance, and sustainable growth. This role integrates strategic foresight with operational discipline — ensuring that financial stewardship, business agility, and cost consciousness enable VISL’s vision of being the preferred one-stop integrated sourcing partner across industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

• Lead the formulation and execution of overall financial strategy aligned with business growth and long-term value creation.
• Partner with business leaders to integrate finance into strategic decision-making, driving profitability, cost optimization, and capital efficiency.
• Build robust financial models to support expansion, diversification, and digital transformation initiatives.

2. Financial Planning & Performance Management

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business performance tracking to ensure financial targets are met.
• Implement effective KPIs and BI-driven dashboards for real-time insights and performance analytics.
• Champion cost consciousness and frugality across all functions through financial discipline and continuous process improvement.

3. Financial Control & Compliance

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and accounting standards.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management systems, and adherence to corporate governance norms.
• Oversee working capital optimization, cash flow, and margin improvement across business units.

4. Fundraising & Capital Markets

• Lead equity, debt, and structured financing initiatives to support growth and innovation.
• Manage relationships with banks, private equity, venture capital, and financial institutions.
• Prepare the company for IPO readiness, ensuring audit preparedness, documentation, due diligence, and investor engagement.

5. Audit, Risk & Regulatory Governance

• Lead internal and statutory audits with a focus on transparency, accuracy, and integrity.
• Oversee compliance with all financial and secretarial laws under the Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and other relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with legal advisors, auditors, and merchant bankers to uphold compliance and mitigate risks.

6. Finance Transformation & Digitization

• Drive finance automation and digital initiatives leveraging SAP HANA, Salesforce, and BI tools.
• Simplify processes, enhance accuracy, and improve decision-making speed through technology adoption and data-driven insights.

7. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Partner with the Board, CEO, and business heads to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations.
• Lead a high-performing finance team through mentoring, capability building, and a culture of accountability.
• Prepare investor presentations, board reports, and financial communication materials reflecting business performance and outlook.

Candidate Attributes

• Chartered Accountant (CA)/ ICWA/CMA and/or MBA Finance with 18+ years of experience in strategic financial leadership.
• Proven track record in managing end-to-end finance, compliance, and governance in diversified or fast-scaling organizations.
• Strong exposure to IPO readiness, fund-raising, digital transformation, and business partnership.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and cost discipline.
• High integrity, frugality, and ownership mindset aligned with VISL’s values and purpose.
