Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a critical role in overseeing the financial activities of the company within the Solar & Wind Industry. As a valued member of the executive team, you will provide strategic financial guidance to the Director and senior leadership, oversee financial planning, nurture investor relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and spearhead initiatives to enhance financial performance and foster business expansion. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of crucial areas: Strategic Planning & Leadership: - Develop and implement a financial strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives. - Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team on financial concerns. - Engage in the development of corporate strategies and decision-making processes. Financial Management: - Supervise budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning. - Manage the capital structure of the company, encompassing debt and equity financing. - Monitor financial performance, identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and efficiency. Reporting & Compliance: - Ensure the punctual and accurate delivery of financial reports both internally and externally. - Supervise the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards. - Uphold compliance with tax, regulatory, and legal mandates. Risk Management: - Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. - Supervise insurance coverage and internal controls. - Lead audits and engage with external auditors and regulators. Team Leadership: - Cultivate and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. - Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement. Stakeholder Communication: - Manage investor relations, encompassing earnings calls and shareholder communications. - Support fundraising endeavors, M&A transactions, and investor due diligence. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Masters/MBA preferred). - Strongly preferred certifications such as CPA, CFA, or other relevant financial accreditations. - 7+ years of experience in senior financial leadership roles, specifically within the Renewable energy sector. - Demonstrated expertise in fundraising, financial modeling, and strategic planning. - Thorough understanding of corporate financial law, risk management, and compliance. - Proficiency in leadership, analytics, and communication. Preferred Attributes: - Experience in a public company or involvement in preparing a company for IPO. - Exceptional business acumen with a capacity to influence and drive change. - Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
