Chief Architect- Database

Job Summary:
The CTO Office within Cyient Delivery Center (CDC) is looking for a Chief Architect- DB to lead our customer Cubic Oracle to PostgreSQL migration work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database architecture, Oracle, PostgreSQL optimization, and data modeling and migration. They should be well-versed in AWS cloud technologies and have experience designing and migrating large scales program from Oracle to PostgreSQL. This role requires a strategic thinker who can align DB initiatives with business objectives while ensuring high levels of performance and availability across all systems.

Responsibilities:
• Lead a global team of database engineers responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting mission-critical databases used by our enterprise applications.• Develop and maintain best practices for database related technologies, including performance tuning, capacity planning, and security management.• Collaborate with offering and development to participate in solution and proposal making to get new customer onboard.• Provide technical leadership on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.• Drive innovation within the database engineering function by exploring new technologies and adopting industry best practices.• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and standards related to database administration and security.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;• Minimum 15+ years of experience in DB technologies, with at least 7 years in ORACLE, PostgreSQL.• Proven track record of designing, architecting and migrating various DB and related areas• Strong knowledge of Oracle, PostgreSQL Server, and other RDBMS platforms.• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.• Solid understanding of backup/recovery strategies for databases.• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.• Experience working in a shared services environment
