JOB POSITION

Carelon Global Solutions India is seeking for Software Engineer with US Healthcare background with exp of 3 Yrs ML & NLP experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Associate are an expert programmer having ML and data processing experience.

• Associate will work closely with the AI/ML engineers and data scientists and product teams to acquire and process data, debug, create and improve ML models, to help with ML-centric quality assurance and to develop software infrastructure to assist the above tasks.

• Associate will be an expert programmer with hands-on experience in machine learning and data processing.

• Associate will work with a variety of data types, including structured, semi-structured, and textual data.

• Associate will create enterprise-grade data pipelines that feed state of the art AI/ML models.

• Associate will possess strong communication skills and collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, production teams, and customers.

• We need independent thinkers who can operate with minimal guidance from product managers and architects.

• Associate dive into ML models, debug issues, and enhance their performance.

• Associate insights will drive quality assurance for our ML-centric solutions.

• Design and implement statistical and machine learning models with a focus on regression, classification, and clustering techniques, using frameworks like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for predictive analytics and pattern recognition

• Develop robust data preprocessing pipelines that handle missing values, outliers, and feature scaling, while creating engineered features through domain-specific transformations and dimensionality reduction techniques

• Specialize in Large Language Model (LLM) development including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and embedding optimization using frameworks like Hugging Face Transformers, with focus on task-specific adaptation and efficient model deployment

• Create and optimize LLM evaluation frameworks using metrics like ROUGE, BLEU, and custom human-aligned evaluation methods, while implementing techniques for reducing hallucinations and improving output reliability

• Apply advanced statistical methods including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, and experimental design to extract actionable insights from complex datasets, ensuring statistical validity and business relevance

• Create specialized natural language processing solutions focusing on text classification, sentiment analysis, and topic modeling using both classical statistical approaches and modern deep learning architectures

• Design and execute rigorous A/B tests by determining appropriate sample sizes, selecting metrics, and conducting power analysis, followed by detailed statistical analysis using methods like t-tests, ANOVA, and regression analysis

• Implement comprehensive data visualization strategies using libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly to communicate complex findings through interactive dashboards and statistical graphics

• Maintain detailed documentation of model architectures, hyperparameter optimization experiments, and validation results using version control and experiment tracking tools like MLflow or DVC

• Research and implement LLM optimization techniques including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation to improve model efficiency and reduce computational requirements while maintaining performance

• Stay current with recent developments in statistical learning theory, deep learning architectures, and LLM research through paper implementation and continuous learning, with particular focus on emerging model architectures and training techniques

QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science, Mathematics or Statistics, Computational linguistics, Engineering, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.
  

EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years of professional hands-on experience leveraging large sets of structured and unstructured data to develop data-driven tactical and strategic analytics and insights using ML, NLP, and computer vision solutions.

• Demonstrated 3+ years hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, and Spark . Python proficiency is required.

• 3+ years hands-on experience developing natural language processing (NLP) models, ideally with transformer architectures.

• 2+ years experience with implementing information search and retrieval at scale, using a range of solutions ranging from keyword search to semantic search using embeddings.

• Experience with GCP/AWS cloud platforms.

• Strong knowledge of and measurable hands-on experience with developing or tuning Large Language Models (LLM) and Generative AI (GAI)

• Ability to work under minimal supervision, using independent judgment.

• Experienced with NLP, LLMs (extractive and generative), fine-tuning and LLM model development. Strong familiarity with higher level trends in LLMs and open-source platforms

• Experience developing and optimizing high-quality prompts for NLP applications.

• Strategic thinker and influencer with demonstrated technical and business acumen and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding initiatives, technical and business goals and related tasks.

• Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business goals and outcomes.

• Excellent written & verbal communication and stakeholder management skill

• Healthcare industry experience
