Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Continental dishes consistently.
  • Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to maintain quality and minimize wastage.
  • Supervise and guide Commis chefs and kitchen helpers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen as per FSSAI norms.
  • Assist in menu planning, specials, and seasonal dish creation.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO method).
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Coordinate with the Sous Chef/Head Chef for smooth kitchen operations during service hours.

Key Requirements

  • Proven expertise in Continental cuisine (grills, pasta, salads, sauces, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and kitchen safety procedures.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Preferred Qualities

  • Creative plating and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
  • Leadership qualities to train and motivate junior staff.
