Job Description

As a member of the F&B Production team at our company, your role will involve taking care of daily food preparation and duties assigned by your superiors to ensure that the restaurant's standards and quality are met. Your responsibilities will include: - Following instructions and recommendations from your immediate superiors to complete daily tasks. - Coordinating daily tasks with the Sous Chef. - Supervising junior chefs or commis. - Estimating daily production needs and checking the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure standards are met. - Ensuring that the production, preparation, and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times. - Maintaining the highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating, and food costs. - Adhering to standard procedures and policies related to food preparation, receiving, storage, and sanitation. - Having full awareness of all menu items, their recipes, methods of production, and presentation standards. - Following good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products. - Operating and maintaining department equipment and reporting any malfunctions. - Ensuring effective communication between staff to maintain a secure and friendly working environment. - Establishing and maintaining effective inter-departmental working relationships. - Having excellent knowledge of menu creation, maintaining quality, and controlling costs in a volume food business. - Being personally responsible for hygiene, safety, and correct use of equipment and utensils. - Producing work in accordance with deadlines and assisting others in achieving this aim. - Checking expiry dates and proper storage of food items in the section. - Consulting daily with Sous Chef and Executive Chef on daily requirements, functions, and any last-minute events.
