Chef de Partie (CDP)

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and detail-driven Chef de Partie with strong exposure to Japanese and Asian fusion cuisine. The ideal candidate understands balance, precision, and presentation, and enjoys working with modern techniques and high-quality ingredients. This role is suited for someone who takes pride in consistency and craftsmanship within a premium café environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute Japanese / Asian fusion dishes with consistency and attention to detail.
• Handle Asian ingredients, sauces, marinades, and flavor profiles accurately.
• Maintain taste, texture, presentation, and portion standards across all dishes.
• Follow standardized recipes, SOPs, and plating guidelines.
• Manage mise-en-place and ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation (FIFO, storage, temperature control).
• Coordinate closely with service and barista teams for timely and accurate order execution.
• Monitor inventory, assist with stock rotation, receiving supplies, and wastage control.
• Support menu trials, seasonal launches, and continuous menu improvements.
• Train and guide commis or junior kitchen staff.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in Japanese, Asian, or Asian fusion kitchens (preferred).
• Good understanding of Asian flavors, techniques, sauces, and plating styles.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, organisation, and discipline in the kitchen.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, premium café setting.
• Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and willingness to learn.
• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and rotational shifts.
