📌 CCTV Field Engineer – Job Profile 🔧 Position Overview A CCTV Field Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CCTV systems and related security equipment at client locations. The role requires technical knowledge, field experience, and customer-handling skills. 🛠 Key Responsibilities Installation & Setup Install CCTV cameras (IP/Analog), NVR/DVR, and related accessories. Conduct wiring, cabling, conduit work, and network setup. Configure devices, ensure proper angles, focus, and coverage. Integrate systems with mobile apps, remote viewing, and cloud platforms. Maintenance & Support Perform routine preventive maintenance and service calls. Diagnose faults in cameras, NVR/DVR, POE switches, routers, and power supplies. Replace faulty hardware, cables, or connectors. Ensure system uptime and timely problem resolution Networking & Configuration Configure IP addresses, port forwarding, and network settings. Troubleshoot LAN issues, switch configuration, and bandwidth problems. Ensure secure network connectivity for surveillance systems Documentation Prepare installation reports, service tickets, material usage records. Maintain asset tracking and client sign-offs. Customer Interaction Communicate with clients professionally during installation & service. Provide system training and usage guidance to customers. Handle customer complaints and resolve technical issues. 🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications ITI / Diploma / B.Tech / Any technical stream preferred. 1–3 years of experience in CCTV/security system installation. Knowledge of IP CCTV, DVR/NVR, switches, routers. Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and handle tools. Basic electrical and networking knowledge. Good communication and problem-solving skills. 🚀 Additional Advantages Experience with access control, biometric systems, intercoms, fire alarms. Knowledge of fiber optic cabling & crimping.
