Project Engineer – CCTV & Access Control Systems

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will oversee and manage the installation of CCTV and Access Control Systems, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time, within budget, and according to the specified quality standards. The role will require effective coordination between clients, contractors, vendors, and the internal team to deliver robust security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Management:
• Develop project plans, schedules, and timelines for the installation of CCTV and access control systems.
• Coordinate and oversee all phases of the project from design to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and meet the required specifications.
• Technical Oversight:
• Conduct site surveys to assess client requirements and provide solutions for CCTV and access control system installations.
• Review and understand system design documents, technical specifications, and project scope.
• Supervise the installation and configuration of CCTV cameras, access control devices (e.g., card readers, biometric systems), and associated components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead, direct, and coordinate installation teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Provide training and guidance to installation personnel to ensure high-quality execution.
• Monitor work progress and ensure that all tasks are completed according to safety standards and operational procedures.
• Client Liaison:
• Communicate with clients to understand their security needs and ensure the solution meets their expectations.
• Provide regular progress updates to clients and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
• Ensure client satisfaction with the system setup and provide post-installation support.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance:
• Ensure the installed systems comply with relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance protocols.
• Perform system testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality.
• Conduct system handover and provide operational manuals and training to end-users.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including installation reports, system configurations, and final handover documentation.
• Provide detailed reports on project progress, milestones, and completion status to senior management.
• Budget & Resource Management:
• Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to project delays, cost overruns, and resource constraints.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices for CCTV and access control systems.
• Implement process improvements for better project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in project engineering or technical project management, specifically in CCTV and access control system installations.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of CCTV and Access Control hardware and software systems.
• Experience in system integration and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with networking, IP-based CCTV systems, and access control devices.
• Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD).
• Certifications:
• Certifications in security systems (e.g., CCTV installation, access control systems) are preferred.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certifications are a plus.

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
