CCTV / ELV Systems Engineer

Role: Sr Communication Engineer

JD:

CCTV

• Install, configure, and maintain

  CCTV systems

  (IP & analog), including cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and monitoring stations.
• Troubleshoot camera streaming, recording issues, analytics (if applicable), and coordinate with OEMs for firmware support.
• Manage

  Access Control Systems (ACS)

  including card readers, biometric devices, controllers, and software.
• Handle basic configuration and troubleshooting of

  IP/analog telephony systems

  , including SIP endpoints and PBX settings.
• Operate and maintain

  PA systems

  (speech broadcast) and

  siren systems

  for emergency alerts.
• Integrate and coordinate multi-system operations, such as linking CCTV with ACS or PA with fire alarm systems.
• Perform system health checks, firmware upgrades, patching, and routine preventive maintenance.
• Document wiring, port mapping, IP plans, and system architecture.
• Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and contractors for system setup and escalations.
• Provide on-call support and participate in audits, mock drills, and incident investigations related to security systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in

  CCTV systems

  – camera types, layouts, network configuration, storage (NVR/DVR).
• Working knowledge of

  ACS platforms

  – software, controller configuration, access policies.
• Familiarity with

  telephony systems

  , basic SIP knowledge, and analog trunking.
• Good understanding of

  PA / speech

  systems – amplifiers, zone settings, call stations.
• Knowledge of

  siren systems

  , triggering logic, and emergency control panels.
• Ability to read technical drawings (SLDs, wiring diagrams), and follow SOPs.
• Comfortable working with networked devices, IP addressing, and VLAN concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with structured problem-solving approach.
• Safety-conscious and well-versed in compliance for electrical/ELV systems.

Good to Have

• Experience in working with brands like

  Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, Dahua, Axis, HID, Matrix, Panasonic

  , etc.
• Familiarity with

  video management systems (VMS)

  like Milestone, Genetec, or similar.
• Knowledge of

  integration with BMS or fire alarm systems

  .
• Scripting or automation tools for camera health monitoring (basic level).
• Certifications in ELV, CCTV, or ACS are a plus.

Education & Certification

• Diploma or Degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / IT / Instrumentation.
• Relevant certifications in CCTV, ACS, or ELV systems are preferred.
