We are seeking a skilled Electro-mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, responsible for the design, integration, and support of mechanical and electrical systems within complex assemblies such as rolling stock, control panels, and industrial equipment. The role involves working across the full project lifecycle—from concept and design to validation and delivery—ensuring solutions meet technical, quality, cost, and schedule requirements
Responsibilities
- To support in design activities as per project requirement and deliver with quality and respect timelines.
- Participates in design/ verification reviews and provide associated reports.
- Conduct self and team’s internal quality checks and ensure the accuracy and consistency all across deliveries.
- Technically lead project, guide team members and interface with internal stakeholders and customer.
- Maintains process related and applicable documents.
- Contributes to turn backs and RCAs.
Required Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of sheet metal component design and assembly processes, including material selection, forming techniques, GD&T application, and manufacturing feasibility (Tool: Autodesk Inventor).
- Competent on Electrical harness modeling in CATIA V5 – Electrical harness Routing (EHI) and Electrical Fitting installation.
- Independently handle Electrical harness modeling related to subsystem and car level.
- Able to interpret electrical schematic and good understanding and able to apply while routing the harness
- Wire Bundle diameter calculation
- Selection of protection, connectors, conduit, etc
- Good knowledge on DFM (Design for Manufacturability), serviceability, and fool-proofing (Poka-Yoke)
- Good Knowledge of materials & mechanical characteristics
- Ability to perform a weight assessment on assemblies, aggregates and installations
- Ability to analyze manufacturing non-conformity and to validate a back-up solution.
- Ability to integrate manufacturing requirements in the design & perform dimensional stack up.
- Able to define fasteners and joint design
- Able to define the most suitable design according to the assembly criticality
- Good knowledge of drawing rules and GDT&T using relevant standards ASME , DIN, EN, ISO
- Hands-on experience of CAD tools like Catia V5, Autodesk Inventor to create and validate 3D,3DFTA and 2D.
- Design of Mounting definitions for subsystems, with due consideration of boundary conditions & failure opportunities.
- Able to perform basic calculation on screwed assemblies.
