Job Overview
The Category Manager position is a senior full-time role based in Delhi, responsible for driving category performance and growth within women's ethnic wear. Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a strong background in wholesale B2B operations and deep knowledge of ethnic fashion, especially Kurtis and Indo-western attire. This role will oversee product planning, category management, and strategic expansion for TEJOO FASHIONS.
Qualifications And Skills
- Proven expertise in preparing Open To Buy (OTB) plans and managing inventory options as per OTB guidelines (Mandatory skill).

- Hands-on experience handling Kurti and Indo-western categories in wholesale B2B operations, driving sales and product positioning (Mandatory skill).
- Prior work experience of 5-6 years as a category manager, managing large-scale retail product portfolios and driving business objectives.
- Demonstrated familiarity with leading e-commerce platforms and digital marketplaces to maximize online category growth and visibility.
- Comprehensive knowledge of designing processes for ethnic wear, including current market trends, fabric choices, and production techniques.
- Previous experience working with renowned retail ethnic wear brands such as Biba and Meena, offering insights into category best practices.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic planning, and negotiation abilities to effectively develop product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies for womens ethnic wear, including Kurtis, Indo-western, salwar suits, sarees, lehengas, and gowns to achieve business targets.
- Prepare comprehensive OTB (Open To Buy) plans, monitor inventory levels, and ensure optimal stock rotation based on market demand and company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, design, and sales to influence assortment planning and product launches.
- Lead vendor negotiations for best pricing, quality, and delivery timelines to strengthen product offerings and maximize profitability.
- Analyze market trends and competitors activities to identify growth opportunities and make informed product assortment decisions.
- Drive the development and success of products on e-commerce platforms by coordinating with digital marketing and online sales teams.
- Assess and review sales performance across channels, presenting actionable insights for continuous improvement in category management.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring consistent brand positioning and exceptional customer satisfaction.
