Job Description

Role Overview: As a Data Analyst at bp's Customers & Products (C&P) Business and Technology Center (BTC) in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in supporting the US Convenience achieve growth goals. Your primary responsibility will involve providing analysis and recommendations to increase sales, optimize operational costs, and enhance returns on invested capital. You will collaborate with various departments such as Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations, Accounting, Finance, Store Assets, and IT to drive retail initiatives and support organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Analyzing Data or Information: Break down information or data into separate parts to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts. - Providing Valuable Analyses: Offer valuable analyses to departmental groups and committees, including finance, real estate, marketing, fuel procurement, and construction. - Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work: Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work efficiently. - Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships: Cultivate constructive and collaborative working partnerships to align personal and professional development with organizational objectives. - Performance Tracking/Test Analysis/Reporting: Analyze the impact of marketing, loyalty, and merchandising programs, handle performance reporting, and support data enrichment efforts. - Case Development/Test Planning & Design: Assist in designing test propositions, provide data support for optimizing loyalty activity and marketing campaigns, and rationalize actions to grow profits and optimize costs. - Presentation of Data & Analysis: Format data in a clear presentation, communicate findings, and present recommendations to functional areas impacted by the analysis. - Forecasting & Budgeting: Participate in long-term forecasting and planning required by the management team. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. - Retail experience is beneficial. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Outlook. - Experience with APT, PowerBI, and/or SQL is advantageous. Additional Details: The role of a COCO Data Analyst at bp's C&P BTC involves leveraging technology and developing deep expertise to enhance customer experience and drive innovation. This position does not involve travel and is not available for remote work. The shift timing is US shift: 3pm to 12am IST. As a Data Analyst, you will collaborate with Category Managers, Marketing and Loyalty offer development teams, Category Management leadership, Technology team, and Data analytics leadership to optimize value propositions and provide strategic insights. Your role may be contingent upon adherence to local policies, including background checks and drug screenings.
