Job Description

As a Category Head , you will focus on delivering five core areas for the brand: Selection, Demand Generation, Catalogue Quality, Business Advice, and Availability . The person joining our leadership team in this role must share our passion and commitment to serving our customers. The ideal candidate should have experience in building and managing brand relationships. An understanding of product planning cycles and online selling is preferred. We are looking for someone who is flexible, action- and results-oriented, self-driven, and has strong analytical skills. A proven track record in ownership, execution, and decision-making in fast-paced environments is a must. The right candidate will be entrepreneurial and confident in making data-driven decisions. Strong planning and forecasting skills, along with the ability to drive an online business, are essential. The candidate must also be an effective communicator, capable of working closely with some of the most important brand partners, VCs as well as internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Category Operations : Manage daily category operations and set up streamlined processes to maximize brand performance on the app. Category Planning & Inventory Management: Collaborate with category planning to create monthly brand-level plans in line with annual targets, including inward planning. Work closely with brands for supply planning and replenishments. Coordinate with Ops teams for inward slotting and timely deliveries to achieve monthly targets. Marketplace Brand Management : Liaise with marketplace brands to align on supply, discounting, marketing investments, and fulfilment per TATs. Drive assortment building and revenue growth through optimized brand management. Business Development : Explore opportunities to onboard new brands under marketplace models to strengthen selection and assortment. Catalogue & Merchandising : Lead catalogue building and merchandising efforts through brand relationship management Partner with the demand team to ensure competitive pricing, visibility, and performance tracking Brand Relationship Management : Maintain strong brand partnerships, align on annual and campaign plans, and ensure seamless execution. Market Insights & Strategy : Stay on top of category trends, assortment gaps, competition, and customer behaviour. Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and recommend strategies to enhance value delivery and category performance.
