Cashier cum Accountant

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Cashier cum Accountant to manage daily cash transactions, billing, and basic accounting functions of our retail operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in retail cash handling, bookkeeping, and statutory compliance support.

Key Responsibilities

Cashier & Billing Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash, UPI, card, and online payment transactions accurately
• Operate POS/billing software and generate customer invoices
• Maintain daily cash book and ensure cash tally at the end of the day
• Handle customer returns, exchanges, and credit notes as per company policy
• Deposit daily cash collections into the bank and maintain records

Accounting & Finance Responsibilities

• Maintain books of accounts including sales, purchases, expenses, and petty cash
• Record entries in accounting software (Tally / Marg ERP / similar ERP)
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and cash reports
• Assist in GST compliance including invoice verification, data preparation, and coordination with consultants
• Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and supplier/customer accounts
• Maintain proper documentation of invoices, vouchers, and bills

Inventory & Coordination

• Coordinate with store staff for stock entries and reconciliation
• Assist in verifying inward stock and purchase invoices
• Support management with MIS reports and financial summaries

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) preferred
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in cashiering and accounting (retail experience preferred)
• Knowledge of Tally/Marg ERP, GST basics, POS billing systems, MS Excel
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Honest, disciplined, and responsible with cash handling
• Ability to work independently and under deadlines

Working Hours

• As per store operational timings
• Weekly off as per company policy

Reporting To

• Accounts Head / Store Manager / Management

Preferred Candidate

• Local candidate from Nashik
• Experience in cosmetics, FMCG, or retail showroom accounting will be an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
