Cardiac Technician

Key Responsibilities:Diagnostic Testing & Patient Care:

• Perform ECG (Electrocardiogram), Echocardiography, TMT (Treadmill Test), Holter Monitoring, and other cardiac investigations.
• Assist in Cardiac Catheterization, Angiography, Angioplasty, Pacemaker implantation, and other invasive procedures.
• Prepare patients for cardiac tests and explain procedures clearly to ensure comfort and cooperation.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain equipment hygiene and adhere to infection control standards.

Equipment Handling & Maintenance:

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain all cardiac diagnostic and monitoring equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance requirements promptly to biomedical or technical teams.
• Ensure readiness of cardiac diagnostic areas and cath lab before procedures.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Record and maintain accurate patient data, test results, and procedural notes.
• Assist in preparing and submitting reports to cardiologists for diagnosis and interpretation.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with hospital policy.

Quality & Safety:

• Follow all hospital protocols for patient safety and radiation protection.
• Comply with quality assurance programs and participate in periodic audits.
• Support continuous improvement and training initiatives in the cardiology department.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education:
• Diploma / B.Sc. in Cardiac Technology or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Preferred: Advanced Diploma or Certification in Cardiac Care Technology.
• Experience:
• 0–3 years (for entry-level) or 3–5 years (for experienced positions) in a hospital or cardiac diagnostic center.
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Skills & Competencies:
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic techniques.
• Proficiency in operating ECG, Echo, TMT, Holter, and Cath Lab equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and in emergency situations.
