Job Description

1. Guest Service & Hospitality

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure they receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Supervise table settings, order-taking, and food service to maintain service standards.
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Promote menu items and assist guests with recommendations.

2. Team Supervision

  • Guide, support, and motivate service staff (waiters, runners, etc.).
  • Delegate tasks and ensure staff follow service protocols and grooming standards.
  • Conduct briefings before service to communicate menu changes, specials, and service expectations.
  • Assist in staff training and onboarding.

3. Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and cashier for timely service delivery.
  • Monitor table turnover, reservation flow, and seat allocation.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the dining area before and during service.
  • Follow and enforce hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

4. Sales & Upselling

  • Promote daily specials and upsell food and beverage items to increase revenue.
  • Support the manager in meeting sales targets and guest satisfaction goals.

5. Reporting & Communication

  • Report any issues or feedback to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Maintain records of breakage, inventory shortages, and guest complaints.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or degree in hospitality (preferred).
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in F&B service, preferably as a senior waiter or captain.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
  • Good knowledge of service etiquette, menu items, and POS systems.
