Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Prepare and cook nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors.
Follow dieticians instructions for patient-specific meals (diabetic, low-salt, liquid diets, etc.).
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards in the kitchen.
Plan menus ensuring variety, nutrition, and cost-effectiveness.
Supervise kitchen helpers and allocate duties.
Monitor inventory, request supplies, and minimize food wastage.
Ensure timely service of meals as per hospital schedule.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong knowledge of cooking and nutrition for special diets.
Expertise in large-scale food preparation.
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety regulations.
Time management and multitasking ability.
Team management and coordination skills.
Basic inventory and cost-control knowledge.
