Role overview:

Key responsibilities:

·   Manages and execute lab and onsite calibration of general instruments (PRT, RTDS, thermocouples, thermo-hygrometers, IR pyrometers, IR gun, glass thermometers, digital hygrometers, digital thermometer, RTD indicators, thermocouple indicators and temperature transmitters covering a range from -200 °c to 1600 °c in the thermal metrology division.

·   Perform calibration of thermal sources including temperature liquid baths, low and high temperature furnaces, blackbody sources, drywell calibrators, freezers, ovens, humidity chambers, cold rooms etc.

·   Plans, preparation and involvement in internal/external audit activities of the lab as per ISO/IEC: 17025:2017 standards.

·   To perform basic documentation, environmental conditions record of lab rooms, maintaining calibration records, and report preparation as per ISO/IEC: 17025:2017 standards.

Preferred qualifications:

·   Degree/diploma in engineering preferably in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, instrumentation with at least 1 & 2 years of relevant working experience.

·   Candidate having knowledge of thermodynamics & thermal related instruments.

·   General knowledge of metrology, accreditation, and uncertainty in metrology, national and international documentary standards such as is and ISO/IEC: 17025:2017.

·   Ready to travel in different locations for calibration as per given plan.

·   Fluent knowledge of MS office tools (word, excel).
