Job Description

Customer Capital operates in the exciting and fast-growing domain of loyalty and customer engagement. We are an end-to-end loyalty marketing company that runs its own loyalty programs in partnership with large companies (such as banks, conglomerates, etc.). We are a company started by veterans in the Indian Loyalty Industry with experience across different domains including aviation, energy, hospitality, customer service, banking, retail etc.. We have launched multiple captive commerce platforms including travel, shopping, gift vouchers to enable the customers of our clients to transact and earn and accumulate large volume of points after paying for the products and services at the market operated prices (MOP) and also being able to redeem these for the points that they have accumulated, thereby driving adoption and accelerated transaction volumes.

We are now looking for a person to help build partnerships with brands for our e-commerce portal to get the best deals, prices and products.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB


The job entails getting partnerships with national and regional brands to offer their products at the best terms in the market to be featured in catalogues and commerce platforms which will be published to customers of Customer Capital’s clients for purchase using authorized payment instruments or redeem with points or a combination of points + cash. The job will also entail the role holder to generate advertisement revenue from the brands as the products will be displayed to millions of customers of Customer Capital’s clients including banks, airlines, retail etc.

The job would also have a revenue and profit responsibility for the catalogue business currently powered by the Shopstacc and myEMIshop platforms.


MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Get product and merchandise, service and gift partners on board at the best terms prevailing in the market – price, credit, customer experience, customer journeys
  2. Be responsible for the profitability of the vertical including optimizing costs and maximizing revenues through catalogue optimization, introduction of high margin products.
  3. Get adequate margins to sell the merchandise and services at the most competitive prices in the market and be able to provide adequate margins to fund accelerated points earnings and retain decent margins to drive profitability.
  4. Identify & source tactical offers from brands to drive adoption and GMV
  5. Design commercial terms which are extremely favourable and also enable over riding commissions (ORCs) to keep the margins confidential
  6. Troubleshoot, look for alternates when vendors default on commitments – build and implement adequate back-up plans to ensure that client SLAs are met without fail.
  7. Reimagine and refresh the catalogues and the offerings constantly to keep the offering contemporary and catering to all segments of customers.
  8. Coordinate with marketing and cross functional teams to drive revenue and product revenue optimization including identifying the right products for promotions & offers
  9. Constantly update self and team on the best practices in e-commerce, loyalty rewards catalogues and digital marketing.
  10. Build and maintain strong relationships with top brands and distributors/ channel partners to get the best deals, pre-launch offers, advertisement revenue, product phasing out
  11. Troubleshoot when products are not available or when vendor renege or become delinquent and have alternate sources available for fulfillment
  12. Work closely with the operations & fulfillment team to ensure vendors adhere to SLAs for product delivery/ dispatch and cooperate in troubleshooting escalations.
  13. Ensure all vendor agreements are vetted by legal and finance and get all vendors to duly sign the agreements in the prescribed format including getting the vendors to adhere to the SLAs mentioned in the agreements.
  14. Review vendor performance periodically and sift non-performing brands/ vendors to keep the catalogue dynamic
  15. Be aware of the latest trends of products, top selling SKUs on e-commerce, pricing methodologies and be capable of bringing in automation to track, report and adopt the best practices for the product sourcing

Qualification/Knowledge

  1. Minimum education is graduation from a Tier 1/ Tier 2 college. Additional qualifications in business management, digital marketing will be an added advantage.
  2. 12 to 15 years with electronics, consumer durables, e-commerce companies.
  3. Strong negotiation skills.
