Buyer- Package

Role Overview: As a Buyer for Package Equipment in Gas-to-Power projects, you will be responsible for managing the procurement activities related to key package equipment. Your role will involve coordination with various departments and vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of equipment for large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities: - Manage procurement of key package equipment including GTG, STG, HRSG, Auxiliary Boilers, BOP Packages, WTP/ETP/RO Plants, Cooling Towers, Pump Skids, Dosing Skids, and Fuel Gas Conditioning Units. - Support the development of sourcing strategy aligned with project timelines and procurement plans. - Float RFQs, coordinate technical and commercial evaluations, and assist in vendor negotiations. - Conduct basic vendor assessments and price benchmarking to facilitate decision-making. - Prepare and issue Purchase Orders while ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements. - Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for timely documentation, inspections, and dispatches. - Track supplier performance for delivery, quality issues, and documentation compliance. - Maintain procurement records in ERP systems and digital platforms to ensure accuracy. - Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and audit requirements. Qualifications & Experience: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred. - 4-8 years of procurement experience in EPC projects, specifically in package equipment. - Exposure to international sourcing and vendor management would be advantageous. - Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME, API, ISO, INCO terms, and basic taxation concepts. - Working knowledge of ERP systems like SAP/Oracle, Ariba, and MS Office tools.
