Job Description

Role Overview: As a Unit Manager for our India Branch operations, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the back-office operations to ensure seamless performance and revenue generation. Your dynamic leadership, operational expertise, and sales acumen will be instrumental in driving productivity and profitability for the branch. Key Responsibilities: - Office Management: - Oversee day-to-day office management to ensure smooth workflow and compliance with company standards. - Maintain complete accountability for all activities within the India Branch. - Execute management protocols effectively and uphold high operational discipline. - Logistics Operations: - Supervise end-to-end business operations, including coordination with carriers, agents, internal teams, and customers. - Ensure timely and accurate handling of shipments, documentation, and compliance requirements. - Optimize logistics processes to enhance efficiency, service quality, and cost control. - Sales & Revenue Leadership: - Drive revenue generation initiatives and manage all sales activities to align with business goals. - Monitor sales pipeline, performance, and client relationship management. - Branch Control & Performance: - Ensure efficient functioning of branch teams and processes. - Implement strategic decisions to improve productivity, profitability, and service quality. - Coordinate closely with senior leadership to report performance and execute branch-level strategies. - Team Leadership & Development: - Train, coach, and mentor team members to enhance performance, productivity, and skill levels. - Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans when necessary. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 10 years of proven experience as an Operations Head, Office Manager, or Unit Manager in the freight forwarding/logistics/shipping industry. - Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field preferred. - Deep knowledge of logistics workflows, sourcing price, quoting, order conversion, operation, and invoicing. - Demonstrated ability to manage teams, lead operations, and drive commercial results. - Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. - Ability to take ownership, enforce accountability, and deliver performance under minimal supervision.,
