Business Unit Head Kerala, Karnataka, North India & SA

Location

South India / North India (with extensive travel across assigned geographies)

Reporting To

CEO / MD

Role Purpose

The Business Unit Head (BUH) will be responsible for driving overall business performance

across Kerala, Karnataka, and South Asia markets. The role entails full P&L ownership,

revenue growth, market expansion, operational excellence, and people leadership, while

aligning regional strategies with the organizations long-term vision and compliance

standards.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Revenue Growth

  • Own and deliver the revenue, profitability, and market share targets for the assigned

geographies. (B2B, B2C,RETAIL ,CHANNEL SALES ,HLM,LMM,ACCC & OTHER )

Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies aligned with

organizational goals.

  • Identify growth opportunities including new markets, channels, products,

partnerships, and strategic alliances.

  • Drive key account management and strengthen relationships with large institutional,

corporate, and government clients

P&L and Financial Management

  • Full responsibility for regional P&L including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and

margin improvement.

  • Monitor financial performance against targets and implement corrective actions

where required.

  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources to maximize ROI.

Operations & Service Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end regional operations ensuring service quality, turnaround time

(TAT), and customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with operations, quality, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to

regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Drive process standardization and operational efficiency across locations.

Sales, Marketing & Market Development

  • Lead regional sales and marketing strategies (ATL, BTL, digital, medico marketing, and

institutional sales where applicable).

  • Strengthen brand presence and visibility across Kerala, Karnataka, and SA markets.

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to refine go-to-

market strategies.

People Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing regional leadership and sales teams.
  • Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive a culture of accountability

and collaboration.

  • Support talent development, succession planning, and leadership pipeline creation.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to statutory, regulatory, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Identify business risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Uphold ethical business practices and corporate governance standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Revenue growth and achievement of annual business targets
  • EBITDA / profitability margins
  • Market share growth and expansion into new accounts/territories
  • Customer satisfaction and retention metrics
  • Operational efficiency and cost optimization
  • Team productivity, engagement, and attrition
