As a Business Development Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of expanding our presence in OT/ICS cybersecurity, driving growth across sectors like energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing. This role is about creating and nurturing strategic opportunities, building trusted relationships with decision-makers, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships. You'll thrive here if you're a driven, strategic thinker who can bridge technical discussions with engineers and high-level negotiations with executives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with industrial operators, asset owners, and system integrators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, plant managers, and security leaders.
  • Develop account strategies and execute go-to-market plans in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.
  • Lead presentations, product demos, and negotiations that clearly communicate Shieldworkz's value proposition.
  • Work cross-functionally with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer needs.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market signals to refine sales strategies.
  • Represent Shieldworkz at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

  • 36 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, ideally in cybersecurity, OT/ICS, industrial automation, or critical infrastructure.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and closing enterprise-level deals.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles, account management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with ICS protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC, etc.) and cybersecurity standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo).
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a fast-growing cybersecurity company.
