Business Development Officer

The Business Development Manager at our company in Gurgaon will play a crucial role in identifying and developing new business opportunities within the logistics and supply chain industry. Your responsibilities will include building a strong pipeline of prospects through various channels, presenting proposals to clients, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful deal closures in line with company objectives. You should be prepared for outside meetings and client visits as needed. As the primary point of contact for key clients, you will be responsible for maintaining smooth communication and service delivery. Coordinating with internal departments such as operations, customs, and warehousing will be essential to ensure timely execution of shipments. Monitoring shipments, updating clients on status, resolving queries, and maintaining accurate records of client interactions in the CRM system are also key aspects of the role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar domain. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as knowledge of logistics operations, incoterms, and customs documentation.
