About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Business Development & Tendering Engineer with a strong background in Infrastructure, EPC or PMC projects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in PQ, EOI, RFP, RFQ submissions, client coordination, and tender documentation. This role requires strong techno-commercial understanding, proposal preparation skills, and the ability to coordinate with internal technical teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Tendering & Proposal Preparation

  • Identify relevant tenders from government and private portals (CPP, GeM, e-proc portals).
  • Prepare complete PQ / EOI / RFP / RFQ submissions including technical & commercial proposals.
  • Review tender documents, eligibility criteria, BOQs, scope of work, and contractual terms.
  • Draft and compile technical write-ups, methodology, work plans, CVs of key personnel, project references.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, HR, and project teams for tender inputs.
  • Prepare bid summary, compliance matrix, risk assessment, and deviation statements.
  • Ensure timely submission of tenders (online/offline).

Business Development:

  • Generate leads and identify opportunities in Infrastructure, Water, Metro, Roads, Airports, Industrial, Urban Projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, PMC firms and government departments.
  • Participate in client meetings, BD discussions, capability presentations, and networking events.
  • Track competitor activities and market intelligence.

Pre-Bid & Post-Bid Coordination:

  • Attend Pre-Bid Meetings, prepare clarifications, and follow up with tender authorities.
  • Support negotiation, contract discussions, and respond to post-bid queries.
  • Maintain database of tender submissions, win/loss analysis, and BD dashboards.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Maintain updated company profile, project sheets, CV formats, registrations & certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO, statutory and organizational norms.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 5-10 years of experience in Tendering / Proposals / BD for Infrastructure / EPC / PMC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of RFP/RFQ/PQ/EOI preparation.
  • Understanding of BOQs, DPRs, cost components, commercial terms.
  • Excellent communication, drafting and presentation skills.
  • Strong coordination and multitasking ability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint; experience in ERP/CRM tools is an advantage.
  • NICMAR background is a strong plus.
