Job Description

We are looking for a

Business Development Manager

with strong expertise in

B2C rooftop solar sales

, particularly under

PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana

. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of

government subsidy schemes

,

channel sales

, and

technical knowledge of solar rooftop kits

. The role requires building and managing relationships with end customers, local partners, and ensuring seamless execution of residential rooftop projects.

Key Responsibilities

:
Identify and generate leads for

residential rooftop solar

projects.
Promote and explain the

PM Surya Ghar Yojana

, including subsidy structure, eligibility, and application process to customers.
Develop and manage

B2C sales channels

, including dealers, agents, and local partners.
Understand customer requirements and provide customized solar solutions (site assessment, system sizing, ROI).
Prepare proposals, quotations, and coordinate with technical teams for surveys and installations.
Ensure proper documentation and submission on the

National Portal for Rooftop Solar

.
Track project progress from lead to commissioning and subsidy disbursement.
Stay updated with government schemes, policy changes, and new product developments.
Conduct customer awareness campaigns, webinars, and on-ground promotional activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

:

4 to 8 years

of experience in the

solar rooftop segment

, specifically in

B2C sales

.
Strong understanding of

PM Surya Ghar Yojana

, residential rooftop policies, and subsidy procedures.
Technical knowledge of

solar rooftop kits

solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, net metering, etc.
Proven ability to manage

channel partners

and customer relationships.
Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM software, and solar estimation tools.

Educational Qualification

:
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical / Energy) preferred.
MBA in Sales/Marketing is an advantage.
Training or certification in solar PV systems is a plus.

Preferred Candidate Profile

:
Self-motivated and target-oriented.
Familiar with local market conditions for residential solar sales.
Experience in working with state DISCOMs and government solar portals.
Ability to handle site visits, basic technical discussions, and customer onboarding independently.
