Job Description

Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will drive growth by identifying, approaching, and onboarding OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in the automotive seating and foaming ecosystem. The role involves expanding the adoption of hook & loop fastening solutions, building strong client relationships, driving sales, and ensuring smooth cross-functional coordination for successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Development

Identify and onboard new OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in automotive seating and foaming.

Develop account-specific strategies to promote hook & loop fastening solutions for seating and interior applications.

Lead early-stage discussions with design, R&D, and purchase teams to influence program adoption.

2. Sales & Revenue Generation

Meet or exceed business development and sales targets.

Support RFQ/RFI processes; collaborate with technical teams for costing, feasibility, and application fitment.

3. Key Account Management

Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders at OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers

Act as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial discussions.

Drive trials, validation, and application development to ensure successful product onboarding.

4. Market Intelligence & Product Positioning

Track market trends, new model programs, seating innovations, and material changes.

Provide insights on competition, pricing patterns, and customer expectations.

5. Cross-Functional Coordinatio

Work closely with Application Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Service for flawless customer delivery.

6. Relationship Management

Preferred candidates must have strong professional relationships with OEM/Tier-1 seating teams such as:

Lear, Adient, Tachi-S, Magna, etc.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (Mandatory) in:
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Automobile Engineering
  • Production Engineering
  • Polymer Engineering
  • OR any related technical field
  • MBA in Marketing/Sales is preferred but not mandat
