Job Description

Position Summary: The Business Development Manager CM & OEM will be responsible for driving sustainable volume and revenue growth by identifying, acquiring, managing, and expanding direct accounts in the Construction, Mining, and OEM segments. This role involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, market analysis, and execution of sales and marketing initiatives aligned with the business plan. Key Responsibilities: 1. Sales Planning & Execution Formulate and implement strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the CM & OEM segments. Achieve volume and revenue targets as per the approved business plan. 2. Customer Relationship Management Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients in the Construction, Mining, and OEM sectors. Implement customer-centric strategies to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty. Serve as the key point of contact for escalations and high-level negotiations. 3. Market Intelligence & Growth Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking. Generate actionable insights to guide product positioning and market development strategies. Explore untapped markets to identify new growth opportunities. 4. Product & Commercial Expertise Demonstrate deep understanding of products, applications, and commercial terms relevant to the CM & OEM industry. Work with technical and product teams to tailor offerings based on customer needs and applications. 5. Operational Efficiency & Financial Control Manage working capital by controlling inventory levels and ensuring timely collections. Monitor and manage overdue receivables and maintain healthy customer credit discipline. Ensure efficient pipeline management from lead generation to conversion. 6. Marketing Implementation Plan and execute marketing activities and promotional campaigns aligned with the sales calendar. Monitor ROI and effectiveness of marketing initiatives. Key Accountabilities: New customer acquisition and pipeline conversion. Revenue realization and volume growth in line with business plans. Implementation of price revisions and pricing strategies. Timely collection of receivables and keeping overdues under control. Execution of agreed marketing and promotional activities. Operating expenditure control in alignment with budget. Working Relationships: Internal: Department Head Supply Chain/Logistics Finance, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams External: Key customers and clients OEM partners and distributors Industry bodies and associations Knowledge & Skills: In-depth knowledge of product, application, and customer processes in CM & OEM sectors. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Advanced selling and key account management abilities. Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Adaptability to complex, fast-paced market dynamics. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and basic financial principles. Educational Qualification: Bachelors Degree in relevant field, MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred. Experience Required: 5–10 years of experience in B2B industrial sales, preferably in Construction/Mining/OEM segments.
