Job Summary:

As a Business Development Manager for Industrial Lubricants, you will be responsible for driving sales and developing new business opportunities in the Territory/ Region. Your role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, distributors, and partners in the industrial sector. You will also be required to work closely with technical to understand customer needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Growth: Drive and manage the sales of metalworking fluids in the territory, focusing on both existing customers and new business development.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Analyse market trends, competitors, and customer demands to create and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners in the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
  • Technical Support: Work closely with the technical team to provide customers with product knowledge and technical assistance related to metalworking fluids.
  • Sales Targets: Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets to meet revenue and growth objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, including marketing, production, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare regular sales forecasts, reports, and performance analyses for management review.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    Minimum 3-7 years of sales experience in the chemical industry, preferably in metal working fluids or industrial lubricants.
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemistry, or a related field. An MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Sales Acumen:

    Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets, with a strong understanding of the sales cycle.
  • Communication Skills:

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and internal teams.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    Familiarity with metalworking fluids, lubricants, and other industrial chemicals is highly preferred.
  • Location Flexibility:

    Willingness to travel within the Territory and occasionally outside.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Knowledge:

    A strong understanding of the manufacturing, Automobile, and Engineering, automotive sectors is a plus.
  • Problem-solving:

    Ability to provide effective solutions for technical and commercial challenges.
  • Leadership Skills:

    Experience in managing or leading a sales team is desirable.
