Business Development Manager - Events & Exhibitions (On-site, India)

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a driven Business Development Manager to join a fast-paced exhibitions and events team. This role focuses on sourcing new clients, closing sponsorship and exhibition floor sales, and growing revenue across marquee trade shows and corporate events. You will operate onsite across India and collaborate with operations, marketing, and production teams to convert leads into profitable event partnerships.Role & Responsibilities
  • Prospect, qualify, and close new business for exhibitions, trade shows, and event sponsorship packages to meet revenue targets.
  • Develop and present tailored proposals and commercial packages; lead RFP responses and pricing negotiations.
  • Manage pipeline in CRM, forecast sales, and provide weekly/monthly performance reports to leadership.
  • Build and nurture relationships with corporate clients, agencies, sponsors, and exhibitors to maximise repeat business and upsell opportunities.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, and production teams to ensure client requirements, layouts, and sponsorship deliverables are executed on-site.
  • Represent the company at industry forums and onsite events, delivering sales presentations and closing deals during shows.
