Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking an ambitious and result-oriented professional to join us as the Business Development Manager for Defence Business - South India. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, fostering relationships with institutional clients, and achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate the institutional market in South.
  • Identify and target key segments for defence sales.

2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients specifically defence, including corporate clients, educational institutions, and government bodies.
  • Drive the acquisition of new institutional clients while ensuring satisfaction among existing clients.

3. Revenue Generation:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets for the defence business segment in south India.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns for defence clients.

4. Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities.
  • Provide insights to adapt sales strategies based on market dynamics.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure smooth execution of institutional sales.
  • Provide regular updates to the senior management team on sales performance and market trends.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Proven experience in sales roles with a focus on institutional clients (Defence).
  • Min 8-10years experience, with at least 6years in defence or institutional sales, police canteens etc.
  • In-depth understanding of the defence market in South India.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
