OVERVIEW:
As a Business Development Manager, you'll be the driving force behind expanding the company's training footprint. You'll craft strategic partnerships, unlock new markets, and ensure the company remains the go-to for transformative learning experiences. Your work will blend commercial acumen with a deep appreciation for skill-building, leadership development, and organizational improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion Identify growth opportunities in corporate training, leadership programs, and skill enhancement verticals
Build and nurture relationships with HR heads, learning & development teams, and senior leadership Conduct client needs assessments and co-create training solutions aligned with their goals
Design compelling pitches, proposals, and presentations that communicate training impact
Negotiate contracts and close deals with enterprise clients, educational institutions, and government bodies
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine offerings Study emerging trends to align training tools and methods as per client/market demand
Work closely with internal teams (facilitators, instructional designers, program managers) to ensure seamless delivery
Track ROI, client satisfaction, and training effectiveness to inform strategy
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or B2B sales, preferably in the training or education sector
Strong understanding of L&D, soft skills development, and leadership frameworks
Excellent interpersonal and storytelling skills-able to translate technical training content into compelling value propositions
High emotional intelligence, strategic mindset, and negotiation finesse Diploma / Degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field
