Job Description

Designation: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER/ASTT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER. (Key Result Areas)   Sales   1.      Analyze, supervise and implement all sales programmes including satellite hubs/centers.   2.      To liaise with the material and logistic department regarding the timely supply of stock to centers to maximize stock potential.   3.      Identify, develop and evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of Company’s objectives, market characteristics and cost and markup factors.   4.      Formulate Sales & operation budgets of each centre and monitor performance to ensure that each centre runs as a profit centre.   5.      To encourage Centre incharges/sales staff/centre team to seek and continuously develop knowledge of competitor activity and local market conditions, with the purpose of making appropriate and innovative recommendations to drive the business forward and make suggestions to improve and enhance product sales..   6.      Working on principles of the best sales practices in the Company MIS.   Marketing   7.      Utilize corporate marketing department and tools to develop customer base in the local community through external promotions.   8.        Formulate, direct and coordinate marketing activities and policies to promote products and services, working with advertising and promotion managers.   9.      To ensure that the visual presentation of all Centre represents the brand image.         Training   10.    To develop effective network of communication across the centers to ensure shared knowledge and understanding of business activity   11.   To effectively manage the performance and development of Centre Incharge/Sales Staff/Centre Team to drive and maximize the sales performance throughout their area responsibility also ensure training of concern staff and monitor ongoing performance needs.   12.   Training and performance evaluations of marketing and sales staff and oversee their daily activities        General            13.   Inspect all stores on fortnightly basis to ensure zero product obsolescence/expiry.   14.   Ensure that customer complaints are handled with a sense of urgency and good judgment.   15.Prepare and deliver timely and accurate performances appraisals of staff and other MIS as may be required.                 16.  Investigate and monitor market trends and local competition and share information with higher management. 17.Analyzing consumer market and buyer behavior in relations with business market and business buying behavior. 18  To achieve stock control targets in line with company guidelines to prevent financial loss. 19   To create a positive environment that results in stable retention and reduction of manpower turnover. 20   To identify underperforming stores and develop a business plan to address and manage issues effectively. 21 To ensure inventory placement to ensure that Inventory placement maximizes sales opportunities.   22  To ensure that all Centers adhere to compliance requirements in all areas of operational activity, company policies and procedures.
