About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Consultant – Business Development (Agribusiness)


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the agribusiness sector including agri-inputs, agri-tech, value chains, food processing, supply chain, and allied services.
  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and prepare reports on emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with farmers, FPOs, cooperatives, agri-startups, corporates, NGOs, and government departments.
  • Develop and present concept notes, business proposals, RFP responses, and project pitches to potential clients, partners, and donors.
  • Support in designing business models for agriculture value chains, farm-to-market linkages, and agritech interventions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development strategies with organizational goals.
  • Represent the organization in conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to promote services and partnerships.
  • Track and monitor ongoing projects, ensuring timely reporting and client satisfaction.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Rural Development, or related fields.
  • 5–8 years of experience in business development, consulting, or project management within the agribusiness sector.
  • Strong understanding of agriculture value chains, agri-inputs, FPO ecosystem, supply chain, agri-tech, and market linkages.
  • Proven track record in developing business proposals, securing projects, and managing client relationships.
  • Familiarity with government schemes, donor-funded projects, and CSR initiatives in agriculture is desirable.

Contract & Remuneration

  • Consultancy basis – assignment/project duration 6-12 Month
  • Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and business he/she provide to the company.
