Role: Business Development Executive(B2b -EdTech Sales)

Location: Chennai(Remote)

Experience: 2+ years

Responsibilities

Market Research and Strategy Development

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities within the academic sector.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential challenges.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

  • Identify and target potential clients in Engineering Colleges, Non Engineering Colleges, and Schools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in academic institutions.
  • Present and promote our products and services to prospective clients, highlighting their benefits and value.

Field Visits and Networking

  • Conduct regular field visits to academic institutions to establish and strengthen relationships.
  • Participate in academic events, conferences, and seminars to network and promote our offerings.
  • Leverage existing contacts and networks to generate leads and new business opportunities.

Sales and Revenue Generation

  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue goals of the organization.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the organization.

Client Support and Follow-up

  • Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients and maintain regular follow-up to foster long-term relationships.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management review.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years in business development, preferably within the academic sector.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field.

Required Skills:

  • Strong network of contacts within academic institutions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
